A Group Discussion Highlighting Solutions

All of us face roadblocks from time to time. We face challenges we that we need to navigate around to get to the destinations we want. Sometimes the roadblocks are useful. We have chosen the wrong road and need to rethink things.

In our real estate journey, there is no shortage of roadblocks, and they tend to be different for each of us. Sometimes we are reluctant to share, or to ask for help. In my experience, navigating challenges in our journey is one of the most important times to ask for ideas, suggestions, and help from your fellow members. 

Your investor friends will often have ideas and insight that you have not yet thought of. They may have resources that you have not yet developed. And, possibly most importantly, they can often look at the problem with a fresh set of eyes, unburdened by the path you took to get there. The very act of describing my challenge to someone else often clarifies it for me so that I can see solutions.

Our meeting on July 19th will be a sharing session. The more you participate, the more you will get out of it. I hope you will make some connections and get some ideas that will help you long after the meeting.

Think about these things before the meeting. What roadblocks are you facing? Where are you trying to go? What roadblocks have you faced, and how did you get past them. Your experiences may help others, and theirs might help you.

Bring an open mind and you may get some incredibly valuable ideas and insight. Ideas can be shut down when these statements enter the conversation:  “I’ve tried that”, or “that won’t work, because…”, so please make a point to feed off the ideas rather than shutting them down.
